Our exclusive UN series, led by human rights lawyer, scholar and activist Anne Bayefsky, gives alumni an insider's view into today's most pressing topics related to Israel and the UN.

In addition to three exciting lectures this fall, a limited number of participants will receive the opportunity to sit in on a live session at the UN that deals with Israel. At this first lecture in the series, Anne Bayefsky will give guests a look 'Inside the UN' to understand how the United Nations works, basics on international human rights law, the inner-workings of the United Nations Human Rights Council, and just why Israel gets so bullied at the UN.

Anne is the Director of Touro College's Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust.  She was a member of Canadian delegations to United Nations meetings in New York, Geneva and Vienna, represented the International Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists at the notorious UN Durban Conference, and is the current editor of HumanRightsVoices.com.

This session is the first part of our UN and Israel series. Join us for one session or for all three.
