About the Community Security Service

Founded by young Jewish professionals with backgrounds in security, the Community Security Service (CSS) proactively protects the people, institutions and events of the American Jewish community. CSS safeguards our community by training volunteers in professional security techniques, providing physical security and raising public awareness about safety issues.

CSS has protected hundreds of high-profile events for a range of Jewish organizations and also secures dozens of synagogues and other institutions on a weekly basis. We have a trained membership of over 1,000 people, the majority of whom are young Jews aged 18-35 and who together donate thousands of hours of volunteer service per month.
